Pride of Etna

"We will act today so that in the future our community is an attractive place that is thriving and economically sound.  We envsion and Etna that is known for a good school system and cooperative government.  Our future includes a focus on safety and a respected, community-oriented police force.  We continue to address issues of flood control."

Once a month this group volunteers on the third Saturday to do a Pride of Etna Cleanup campaign.  They meet at the Municipal Building at 9:45 a.m. and spend an hour picking up litter and pulling weeds out of the curb line throughout the community!  One hour – and there’s coffee and donuts – compliments of the Mayor!!!  It is a fun way to get your Saturday morning started – with plenty of time left for your own personal needs!!  Please consider coming down some Saturday morning and giving us a hand!  The sense of pride is a good way to get your weekend going!!

The Cops VS Kids annual basketball game

The Cops VS Kids annual basketball game and Teen Day is held each year the last weekend of August! The competition is always fierce at this event pitting our youth against our police officers!! Last summer, the kids were victorious, beating the cops 48-46! Free food (courtesy of all the Etna Churches) and free swimming follow the competition. This event is sponsored by the Pride of Etna committee, the Etna Police Department and our local churches!!
